  • Marriage between HETEROSEXUALS is also under attack because of Brownback. His atrocious 'International Romance Regulation Act' makes is a FELONY for law-abiding American citizens to communicate, write friendship letters, or even say 'Hello' to foreigners. You are now presumed to be a violent abuser under this draconian / unconstitutional law. Brownback is a COWARD who won't talk about this legislation.

  • Senator Brownback is a COWARD who doesn't answer my question: How are HETEROSEXUALS supposed to marry if they can not communicate in the first place? Brownback's pathetic 'Intl Romance Regulation Act' is one of the most DRACONIAN, UNCONSTUTUTIONAL laws is U.S. history. I am waiting for your explaination Senator Brownback.

  • During WWII, German citizens overwhelmingly supported the Holocaust. Does that mean it was the right thing to do? And not long ago, the majority of USA population opposed interracial marriage. Despite the public opinion, federal law NEVER prohibited IR marriage; in 1967, Supreme Court overruled state laws that did so. Gay marriage is no different, and laws prohibiting it (e.g., DOMA) are also unconstitutional. A policy is not ethically/legally appropriate simply because voters support it.

  • Did he seriously say that gay marriage is what causes children to be born out of wedlock? What the hell is his problem? Wow......

  • I think what Senator Brownback was talking about was natural law. When society tries to redefine marriage so that it contradicts natural law, there begins to be societal problems.

  • But Senator, I just don't want to get married. That is a personnel choice of mine and nothing more. It has nothing to do with the fact that some gays are getting married. Societies are just going to have to deal with these decreases in marriage trends and stop taking it out on the gays because that's the cheap way to go.

  • seems there's a logical gap in his statement when he cites northern europe. he seems to have excluded the huge number of common-law couples raising children lumping them in with "single parents."

  • Glad ya dropped out LOSER !

  • ...I know.......?

  • you're the genius who first said wanker tuby
