This was the first antiwar song that sunk in when I was about 10 years old. ... I have never heard anyone talk about this song in that light ...

@Mariko0624 As the Monkees became more and more famous, the shooting schedule became more and more tedious, the guys wanted an escape. They had a shipping container moved onto the set and called it the Frodis Room. The whole band would go in the Frodis Room during breaks, lock the door and of course, get stoned.

This episode was a good way to end the series.

@ameroux Very aware of the episode. Seen it many times. =)

This was the very first episode of the show I saw, while flipping through channels in March. It's now probably my favorite show... :)

@icedup1209 Um ... aren't you forgetting someone? Like, maybe Peter? He's my all-time favorite! :-)

@Mariko0624 If you haven't watched the episode, it's about a thinking, talking plant from another planet that makes everybody feel ... groovy. I'd say it's fairly obvious :-D

Frodis was Micky's expression for weed so I read somewhere.
'The king of Zor, he called for war
And the king of Zam, he answered.
They fashioned their weapons one upon one
Ton upon ton, they called for war at the rise of the sun.
Out went the call to one and to all
That echoed and rolled like the thunder.
Trumpets and drums, roar upon roar
More upon more.
Rolling the call of "Come now to war."
