FFVII - LLNMIENA Challenge - Safer-Sephiroth (Part 1)

NM = No Materia
IE = Initial Equipment
NA = No Accessories

Because of his set pattern of attacks, this is actually one of the easiest battles in the challenge. As long as you know what the next attack is and how to deal with it, you cannot lose.

Super Nova might inflict Confusion, but that is solved by using Shrivels on the party. With the "Small" status, characters only deal 1 damage, so it won't be the end of the world if all the characters got confused and started attacking each others. You can see what statuses the characters will get by entering the item menu and selecting a Remedy during Super Nova.

The only truly dangerous attack is Deen, which deals 1500+ damage to the party. Since the characters don't have that much HP (Cait Sith can survive it with a little luck), you must have Sadness to survive it. However, Sephiroth uses DeSpell right before Deen, so you can't juse use Tranquilizers at any time.

What advantage does sadness have in a battle?

i have just 1 question....how come the supernova only does like 300 damage to u and like 3000 damage to me...?

Actually I felt the tune starting at 2:41 would be epic start for Supernova. First time I saw it I knew I was fucked. But I was just very close to death.

Hey, here's an idea. Go to the battle arena and do one. With the extra hardness and the possible harsh effects after each battle, it should be a good battle.

Noy only is Sephiroth's super nova long, it's educational. Gotta love studies of the solar system and algebra in the same attack!!! See games are not gateways to violence, they are educational tools. Sephiroth makes me feel smarter.
