perfect landing! but It doesnt seem to be a short field landing....you are supposed to clear a 50ft obstacle before your aiming point

When I went on my check-ride, I got pretty lucky on my short field landing. I had like a 20 knot headwind going right down the runway. I just sunk right to my mark and stopped in about 400 feet. It was the shortest short field I have ever done for sure.
I just felt like bragging! Lol.

Whats the glideslope speed for that
-
did you land short ?

NZHN? Who are you flying with? I didn't know anyone else in NZ had Diamonds.. Lol.. I'm assuming you're Hamilton CTC?
-
pretty long displaced threshold..looks like 1/3 of the runway..lol
Lol, yeah. And there were some places we went where we had to use it!

Absolutely no difference personally. You fly a lot of the time in yoke aircraft with one hand on thrust levers/ throttle and the other on the yoke, so that sense it's hardly different at all.

Yeah not great asymmetric but the avionics kit was amazing for IFR training!

Thanks for the comments guys, AFM stated if I can remember (finished flying it 9 months ago!) that max demonstrated x-wind was 20 knots, but on the DA-42 you had plenty of rudder authority to do quite a bit more!
