Marakamundi is word in moviment. It acts uponthe fusion of different words:"Maraka" means "muisc" in indigenous Tupilanguage and "Mundi means "world" in Latin, so "Musik of the World"! That is what Brasiliean quartet of instrumental music brings and proposes: to explore teh vast horizons of the world of music with Brasilian perpective. This proposal fits the langer context of Latinity. It mingles Brasilian rhytms of Bossa Nova, Frevo, Maracatu, Baiao, while also incorporating other Latin beats such Flamenco, Songo and Guagira.
The diversity of elements within the framework of jazz improvisation leads to fascinating sound that the band has been develop over a decade.
