46 sec commercial against Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks does not speak for autistics. To them; people on the spectrum are just a means to make money, and those on the higher end of the spectrum are not even of their list of priorities. So please, if you wish to help those who have autism spectrum disorder, do research before you donate to an agency, volunteer at a center or school that are dedicated to helping service those on the spectrum; or better yet, be understanding. Remember, it's not an epidemic; it's not always something all autistics want cured; it's a difference. Support neuro-diversity, for all!

@YellowDoodle6 Autism Speaks is not all we have. Autistics Self Advocacy Network does great things. Not every autistic person can speak, but every autistic person CAN communicate. No one needs someone to speak FOR them. They may need someone who can help facilitate communication, but they should NEVER be that person's voice.

I don't think you should speak for everyone with Autism, because nobody can. Autism Speaks is all we have. They do everything in their power to help people like us. Some people say- "Autism Speaks can go away, I have Autism and I can speak for myself." Well, not everyone with Autism can speak for themselves, they need others to do it for them.
