In 2004, I set out to find out how many people would sign a ridiculous petition dressed up in fancy language. The results were staggering.
The petition, people were told, was to "Legalize and keep legal retroactive abortion." If asked what that meant, I'd say "Abortion after the term of the pregnancy has ended." In other words, after birth.
In a single hour, nine people signed the petition in front of our camera. Only three refused.
Sounds like the petitions to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide or end the suffraging of women.
