The Best Motorcycle Roads - New York Route 51, NY 10 and Blue Ridge Road, Adirondack Park

A new series featuring some of the best motorcycle roads. This video, a la Dallas TV series intro, includes New York Route 51 riding north and south on the twisty section between Ilion and US 20 with some footage in the intro showing sections further south. NY Route 10 in Adirondack Park riding south with the Amish appearing south of the park. And Blue Ridge Road Scenic Byway aka Essex CR 84 also in Adirondack Park riding east coming across a bison farm. The video ends with a look back a year before, in 2009, when coming across wild bison in the Northwest Territories in northern Canada. Some wild turkey were also caught on camera on NY 51 and 10. More routes to be documented. Video taken using a GoPro HD HERO camera on a helmet mount on a Kawasaki ZX-9R. Music includes the Dallas TV series intro and Genesis Land of Confusion. Nice video! Not sure about when you rode NY10 but a group of us went up 10 just this past Saturday (5/7/11) and some of it was a pretty rough ride. The road was definitely fun to ride but the abuse from the condition of the northern section of road was enough where the guys I ride with probably won't want to ride it again. Gonna try and hit NY51 soon. Would love to see some more roads around upstate NY!

@cr125rfox Same here for NY10. First part riding south wasn't so hot but it did get better and came out as a fun ride, not the greatest, hopefully they'll repave some of the sections one of these days. I got a kick riding through Amish country on it. NY51 on the other hand is in better shape and lots of fun. I have 5+ roads from NY I still have to edit. Off memory RT 30, Lake Placid, 2 good ones from the Catskill Mountains and Hawk's Nest. Busy moving so it'll be a while. Thanks and safe riding!

Hey guys, Great vid, could you tell me about your helmet cam kit? where from, who and how much, and easy install? how is it powered? battery only? RTE 9 to lake george is a nice ride as welll as route 0 from Montezuma to Cortland, NY..i ride a 02 R1, hope to run into you guys sometime this summer
