Thanks for the reply. I agree with the doctrine as it has been historically understood- there is no good thing in man to cause God to love him, or to be inclined to love him. There is also nothing in man to incline him to love God. We are dead in our sin (Eph 2, Rom 1,2,3). God is inclined to us for reasons we have not been given, and God has chosen to redeem a people out of lost humanity. It is all of God, and His majestic work.

God loved me enough to save me, why did he do that? I cannot say, I did not deserve it, that I can say. That God is loving enough to save some of us is incredible.

but oh as Jesus died on the cross did the Holy Ghost begin to pick up every single broken piece gluing it back together with that precious blood that flowed from Emmanuel's veins did the Holy Ghost just pick up the blood the gushed from Jesus and begin to put the image of God back were it belonged :D what a message i wish one day it will be preached anyway just wanted to share :) God bless

@MountainWalt someone once wrote down a message to preach and maybe one they'll be able to preach it but the message was such a heart gripper it was about how God said let us make man in our own image and they wondered if when Eve and Adam took that first bite of the fruit was it almost as if satan had picked up a nail with a hammer and smashed the very image of God in us as if satan just laughed while the image of God in us just shattered into a million broken pieces
