we can only wish...but then again, I find CM very refreshing and more melodic, with very good skills assets, so let's keep it the way it is. On the other hand, I think that DT desperately needs a different singer - LaBrie is killing the band, in my opinion

I'd say that ain't particularily strange. I talked alot with Mats Haugen in Lillehammer in August this year, and he said he's never touching his guitar else for bandsessions and concerts.

In other words, this guy doesn't practise, and still plays the shit of almost every guitarist he encounters;p

And your words about him never becoming "as great as Petrucci", that's something you'll answer for. I see your point and agree, but it's all a matter of taste.
