  • This won the Moby Award for biggest waste of corporate money on a book trailer. I can certainly see why. IT confuses its audience and, given the 'cast,' must have cost millions to do so.

  • @potterama It's not just a trailer. This footage is from the cyber-bridges portions of the book, which are designed to be watched at certains points as you consume the novel. The idea being that you're reading, then watching, then reading, then watching. There's about an hour of companion footage to the book.

  • The white suit looks creepier than the black one

  • The book is awesome. I read the whole thing in like 2 days.

  • a movie about a gimp? lol what the fuuuuuuuuck.

  • Cont from prev post.

That's why fans get so upset when a movie is made from a novel and they feel the casting is wrong. (Tom Cruise as Lestat in Interview With A Vampire is an obvious example.) Readers have their own view of what written characters look like without someone imposing a face on them. It actually GETS IN THE WAY of the reading experience.

  • I'm not against online content to "enhance" a book, so long as the book stands on its own, but I though this was a REALLY terrible attempt, a BIG mistake. Why? It's part of the reader's job (and pleasure) to visualize things and this IMPOSES someone else's vision on the reader. Imagining how people and places look is one reason why the people who read do so instead of watching TV. This doesn't enhance the novel, it takes away from the pleasure of reading. Show evidence? Fine. Characters? NO.

  • where do i watch this

  • Damn that sqweegel. Sick motherfucker. After this video, I checked under my bed.

  • but it isn't a movie!!!!!!!!

  • when does the third book come out and is sqweegel in that new series "American horror story" which premiers on FX in october

  • holy shit.
