How much does The Harmony/backing vocals sound like John In Some Parts?

this is such a gorgeous song. but all you folks arguing about paul vrs john are missing the point. they were both great. awesome. great. but together...they were IT. they were the thing. i don't know if it was the harmonies, the musicianship, the arrangements, the together songwriting, or what it was, but it was magic and joy and neverending invention.

If memory serves, on Revolver, John asked (I think) George Martin if he could produce the effect of going in and out of a radio channel for "Tomorrow never knows". This song has kind of the same timbre.

@rule914 I was thinking of Bach when I typed that comment. :)

@marvy1118 Honestly, if you want melodic complexity and contrapuntal ingenuity you should be listening to Glenn Gould play Bach (which I love).

@ViperXXXXXXX I heard that about john also.
I guess i would say that it appears to me that your idea of Paul's music is too influenced by some of his singles and ignores much of the rest. If you were to listen to his entire solo discography you would undoubtedly have a different opinion.
Dear Boy was written for Linda's first husband. End of discussion.

John Lennon, great composer that he was, could never have produced this.
