Flight Aegean Airlines: HER to OTP - the pilot is/was a total idiot.

This was the 15th flight for me and the 1st time I was afraid to fly: I guess the pilot was a rookie. Or an idiot. Or both

The problem is not on take off.
It was on the landing. Landing I did miss filming because I was thinking that we all gonna die anyway.

Turbulence. Terrible turbulence while outside was sunny. It was on the summer time.
- because of shaking 80% of the passengers were using their waste bags on landing;
- they turned off the ALL lights is the plane - imagine the creepiness: as visual and as turbulence.(why??)
- the sky was clear. I guess the pilot put the gear down way too early - being near the wing I could felt/hear the gear - he got into the clouds with the gear out (is this normal?). I guess the gear was pulled like 15minutes before touch down (hard estimate). From that moment the hell/turbulence started.
- he put the plane 'in line/aligned' with the airport just 2 minutes before touch down. Why? OTP is not Kai Tak airport; landed on it so many times - didn't felt like dying at all. I still remember the other planes were on 'track' long long time before pulling out the landing gear. Anyway, this 15th flight was terrible.

And.. I'm not the only one who think Aegean pilots are crazy. I have a friend who's spending her holidays in greece (every year almost). She went to islands this time and was forced to fly with Aegean. Up to that moment she never thought of making some legal papers to let her or her husband's parents take care of her kids/house, etc in case of death. After Aegean experience, she did it. Never thought myself of that either. Never got so scared flying. Never! I guess '15' is my not-so-lucky-number! :)
Not sure about this but I'm sure I'll never fly again with Aegean. Unless I wanna die from heart attack! :)

1. well, I assume you have that 'appropriate knowledge' - maybe you can explain why almost all of the passengers were throwing out.

2. why they turned off the light.

Excactly, steep turn is part of the departure for noise reasons, to avoid flying over the city

do you mean the left turn he made? it is a bit weird... but you should not be afraid. i fly with Aegean Airlines all the time. they are very professional in everything
