I will say this. Businessmen do business, but the government has more responsibility for China because of the wreck less trade agreements they created and pushed to gut our manufacturing base. It's wasn't China, it was the US government that sold us out.

Well, there used to be people that would do the same if black people were ever allowed to drink from the same water fountain as them. Where are they today? We swept them aside and as time progresses, more people move away from that ignorance.

Those people are clowns, equivalent to village idiots. Does a village stop doing things the right way and alter their behavior or laws because of what the village idiot says? It makes no sense that we listen to someone who's blatantly wrong.

lol I've thought of that. Ironically, I think it's the strongest point someone can make against gay marriage. In the end you have to ask yourself if even our current methods of determining what's fair in a divorce are correct.

I'm not a divorce lawyer, and there's a reason they get paid a lot of money. That's hard stuff and if you don't know what you're doing you can get majorly shafted.

I wonder what a divorce attorney makes in Massachusetts. Do some specialize in gay marriage?

and in todays world the big problem with same sex marriage i think is the courts dont know who to give the shaft to,does the male that takes it more often get 80% of the stuff or does the bull dyke lose her house and half her millions of dollars she had before the marriage? in general idc if you wanna ruin your life just to do a gesture that back when marriage started till death do us part was 10-15 years topsif the one didnt get the flu, or the man wasnt sent to die in a war

well really in the end marriage has been a religious ceremony for as long as history has been around, so that is what people get caught on, and now their are only a handful of main stream religions without their branches and they all say no same sex marriage. so you kinda proved my point with that quote but in general marriage it isnt a religious word so same sex marriage should be legal but why get fundamentalist that would kill you pissed off by not accepting a word being changed.

So there you go. That sentence alone is enough to justify taking out the government's role to define marriage. It makes absolutely no sense, especially when we're all supposed to be free, that gay people can't exercise what really is just a ceremonial event

I'm also in favor of legalizing polygamy for Mormons who wish to practice it, so long as women aren't forced in of course

Well I have no idea lol. BUT, if Scientology is considered a religion, then it's safe to say any large congregation of people who believe in the same thing can start their own religion. See where I'm going?

For the sake of the argument, lets omit this idea and address this issue in the eyes of a gay atheist. If the definition of marriage is the responsibility of churches, then pushing this definition on someone who has no religious beliefs flies in the face of separation of church and state.

What religion because buddist dont say nething about it, and all other religions say gaysex is bad, besides islam that says sodomizing is bad

And when you allow some people to get a marriage license but you don't allow others, you are defining what marriage is, which is religious.

If my religion says that homosexual marriage is ok, then the government is discriminating against my religion by not issuing a marriage license, or by not acknowledging my marriage.

These reasons and more are why legalizing gay marriage is the right thing to do.

marriage is religious its not a concern of gov.

a legal union like what a marriage licenses are, is pretty much constitutional and should be implemented
