Iggy, you can be, you just think to yourself, I have to go though this, and
try to grin and bear it, true, dialysis can be a hectic thing, but dealing with it
is a mustl otherwise you'll go crazy.
I'm over 5 years with a transplanted kidney. So as you can see. I was a patient on dialysis for a while, about 3 years maybe. I went to a center however. It is a pain, but worth it, you stay alive until a kidney is available.

Hi Emily, my name is Nadia and i was on both Hemo and peritoneal dialysis. You could say I got the best of both worlds? No. Anyway I just wanted to say I hope you recived your transplant and are doing fantastic. By the way I was 10 when my kidneys failed and I got a kidney when I was twelve. You had to deal with this your whole life and you are very strong for that!

Hey Em,Don't give up on hope! Pray-Hope & Don't Worry,I was on CAPD for 18years(my choice) and did an exchange in a car,airplane,train,airport,hotel,cruise ship!! 4 times a day and injected my meds into the bag!!! NO SHOTS !!! Have a kidney transplant now going on 15 years.
