Applicative and hard style aikido techniques once were performed by Bambang Ali in early of February 2003 in Jogjakarta - Indonesia. Thanks to Janti Shoheikan dojo for providing the place where the shooting was taken.

  • he has wide knowledge of waza but lacks some details especially zanshin in my opinion

  • @azharsukma280589 what kind of zanshin did you expect? a "formal" zanshin or an implicit one?

  • @Chubearishere How is it, exactly, "life"?

  • that was not a "judo" throw. EVERYTHING in there is Aikido. I beg of you all, do not listen to the jargon you read here on youtube or elsewhere about Aikido. Most of the time it's wannabes in their underpants at home on a computer talking.

Aikido is real and it is all kinds of awesome. Please, go to an Aikido dojo and start your journey of a life time learning this magnificent art. It is so much more than just combat. It is, essentially, life.

  • great stuff ! I like it

  • nice

  • It looks like pretty good Aikido to me. Tori is varying and adapting his delivery and blend to not always predictable attacks from uke i.e. not getting to hung up on the techniques. Also using a judo throw at one point i.e. not rigid in his usage of techniques.

  • is this traditional aikido??????
