Listen to this armed tax feeder, the first thing out of his mouth is "officer safety".
That is the prime directive of Law Enforcement, not keeping the peace, not stopping crime, not to 'serve and protect' , but rather, it's to obey the commands of their superiors and make absolutely sure that they remain safe while doing it.
If that means they have to scare the shit out of a man and his wife, terrorizing their children, then so be it.
