Hello,

if your 3ds model is too big, Cinema4D show it in wireframe to streamline the display.

Try with a small model to see the difference.

from sketchup to c4D is easy, but the other way around.. you can even export sketchup to c4D without plugin, and here's what you have to do: you make your model in sketchup. when its done, you just click 'File' in your standard toolar, and select 'Export 3D model' than, you choose where you want to save your file, but make sure that you export it as a COLLADA file (*.dae) you close sketchup, and you open c4D, and open the file you just saved. select a scale, and done. hope it was usefull !!

Hello! Thank you for the tutorial! But I have a proble. When I open a 3ds file in cinema 4d, it always turns automatically in wireframe. I don't know how to fix it, so that I can see the real model! Can you please help me?

It's true, but the SketchUp for Cinema4D works also with the free version of SketchUp, check also GE-Terrain
