You explained most of the things regarding the keyboard. And even showed how the software and macros work. Don't see that in most other reviews. Thumbs up!
@Sakiisagames And the macro keys, so 36 keys out of 120, a third, they shouldn't be allowed to market this as a mechanical keyboard, really ugly by corsair. Also, tuned silicone dome is a nicer name for rubber dome, when you press the Cherry reds then press F1 or something it feels like it's been filled with coca cola or something, so damn mushy by comparison. The sick part is that they sell it for more than their competitors with cheap uneven led strips and mushy rubber shit.
Gold award on this piece of junk? It has a mix of rubber dome and mechanical and it doesn't state that on the box, very ugly of corsair to do, it also has uneven lighting because the rubber dome use led strips while the mechanical switches have individual leds, also the media keys feels like cheap plastic compared to the aluminum plate, it also doesn't even have that allu under the macro keys, I didn't think it was possible to fail at making a mechanical keyboard but Corsair sure managed.
Back lighting, and the k60 keys are not laser etched. I had a problem with keys fading on the k60, so I just traded my k60 in for a k90 today, and love it loads better.
OC3D been giving a ridiculous number of awards recently, and 70% of them gold. Literally of the last 20 reviews I guess at least 15 of them must of been gold awards. I think you must up your standard of what gets this "highly coveted" award, because some of these things I just don't think deserve it.
I really liked this review.

@Bozebo
more importantly, Is there any reason apart from the macro keys to get this over the K60?

What's with the lack of dented caps-lock keys these days?
Infact, why does the caps lock key even still exist?
Ah well ^_^

@arghnews You've also got to consider that TTL prefers not to review bad products, so maybe it's selective.
