  • @mslizzygirl1 No, you just want to peel them while they are hot--just finished boiling.

  • I do the same way and one extra tip is to start at the bigger end of the egg when peeling. This is where the air pocket is and once you break that seal of air the shell will slip off with even a greater chance of not tearing the egg.

  • Also the reason for putting cold water on them is so the egg contracts and the shell does not which helps the shell come away from the egg.
