Air pocket are real. We flew over Jaipur in India in a huge storm. Trying to land we hit an airpocket and dropped like a stone about a thousand feet. We almost hit the deck. It was terrifying. Finally we had to divert to fly to Delhi. It was a very close thing.

my biggest fear is engine failure with/w.o. bird strike right after taking off...

so there is no cruising for 200 miles anymore or flexibility or whatever

ok crashes that have been cought on tape, the plane in afganistan, due to cargo not being locked in properly. another crash i saw where the wings fell off the plane, it wasnt commercial but you can youtube it to see it, so saying they are flexible, not to sure about that, planes do simply fall, not because of engine failure, but human failure. this video does not help me at all, i have even tried to force the fear out of me by taking jobs with fedex and forced my self to fly , still didnt work

I, myself am NOT afraid of flying, but, airpockets ARE true. However, when I fly my little cessna I get them, they drop about 10 ft, but, still make your stomach drop
