I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.

I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will send the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.

Finest bread I will provide,
'Til their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

  • is that their real costume?

    it looks pretty....

pretty odd... i was satisfied with their performance but not with the costume...

  • @lhynje : it is the costume of all cathedral, collegiate and abbey choirs in England, and of the ECUSA choirs in USA.

  • all been raped by xtians

  • @lhynje What religious tradition are you from may I ask?

  • @johnbpullin1 A Cassock is not a vestment. Cassocks are considered "Street Clothes" for men and boys under the employ of the Church, however that is very little in practice any longer.

  • @donhenri01 The "costumes" are called vestments.

  • Beautiful and sad, this was sung at my dear Mother's funeral in 2006.

Cassock and Ruff! Not all choristers wear red cassocks. It varies from church to church and cathedral to cathedral. In regards to the surplice, it's not usually worn unless in a service. For practices and concerts it's not worn.

Interesting to see that they're wearing their ruffs with the button/velcro at the front!! We wore ours with the fastening at the back!! And we were in blue cassocks!
