"well you never want to exceed the manufacturers weight guidelines" haha

What's hard but fun to do is go around 20mph on a wakesurf board. The board feels very jerky and unstable. You can't even turn, all you can do is veer left or right. And theres a big ditch of water right behind the boat which you are on the verge of falling into. Very thrilling!

@CWBBoardS I have new Yamaha 212x. Look up videos on here to confirm. Deep V, 750 lb of ballast tanks. We surf ropeless all the time. It's great boat that does everything well. Not saying it's the best boat for wakesurfing, but I will say it does it very well for about 1/3 the price. You might be thinking of older jet boats that have flat bottom and built for speed, not sports.

Negative on the jet drive. The new jet boats are very different than the flat speed boats. I have a Yamaha 212x and it's a deep v boat. This boat is designed for wakesports. Do some searches and you'll see video. We surf behind this boat all the time. It comes with 750 lb of ballast. We set our Perfect Pass at about 10 MPH and it creates awesome wave.

Usually jet drives have no wake, or the wrong type of wake.
