And this is why I have to pay $10,000 dollars for an automatic...

Wow. The American people got rat-holed bigtime.
-
@bf2lover42 Oh yeah the days of the suited gansters, but no matter how you look at it they all got their firearms illegally. People are already paying over $10,000 for MG's & what not, but you never see any of them going to a Wal-Mart & mowing people down because they were pissed off at society. I'd rather have it the way it used to be, just get your license & cause nobody trouble.

@Bronzecop My solution would be selling FA kits for a very high price, force you to register that receiver, making it non-transferable (perhaps only inheritable). That way owners of transferable MG's wouldn't cry too loud.
AKs, AR-15s, HK rifles/carbines would be pure sex, even if for $500 each kit and not being able to sell it. That way the number of machineguns would be kept in check while still maintaining the prohibitive costs.

@Bronzecop Basically, no politician wants to get his hands dirty with this. Imagine the outrage from the anti-gunners.
Don't forget that most gun owners aren't even on our side. Fudds won't care about you when if they were ban evil baby-killing black assault weapons again.
My opinion is that full auto should have heavy restrictions, and punish those who try to manufacture them without passing background checks and paying the ATF "extortion fee". A bit like other NFA items.

@bf2lover42 Is there any legislation to rid of this ban? I'd really like to get my hands on an ACR or just something newer.

@BUTTHEX What an ignorant profiteering scumbag.

@desertarsenalist get moving, posting on youtube wont do ANYTHING.

@elvensbane Have you heard of the Sten? It consists on stamped steel and welding. All you need is a barrel, and you can easily acquire one. It's fully automatic and it's actually easier to make a FA one than a semi-auto only.
Weapons are as powerful as their caliber and barrel allow. Since a high percentage of guns used in crime are illegal, making FA legal with a few restrictions wouldn't have a great impact.
We need to start a movement to overturn or get rid of the 1986 machine gun ban.
