4th New KiwiRail AK Passenger Car - Delivery Run With Research Test Car

The fourth new AK class passenger car on its delivery run from the Dunedin Hillside Workshop to the passenger car depot in Christchurch, with a DC loco and the Research Test Car. Late last year three passenger cars (one a cafe car) were sent from the Hillside Workshop, and were put into use on the Coastal Pacific service. Once more of these are finished, they will replace the current cars on the Tranz Alpine service, which date from the 1940's.
