we;ve also been to Kauai, it was my favorite of all the islands we visited. But my husband liked Maui best, so thats where we'll be headed. I love the ruralness and simplicity of Kauai

Thanks. We went back to Maui again last month (Aug 09) for one week and then over to Kauai for 11 days. Kauai is just as beautiful as Maui if not more so. It is also less populated with fewer resorts. The north shore of Kauai and along the Na'Pali coast is incredible. If you can swing it, I recommend checking out Kauai as well.
