Hawks 1988 - Part 1/7 - Timothy Dalton, Anthony Edwards, Janet McTeer

In this first part, we meet Bancroft and Decker, two cancer patients undergoing treatment in a London hospital.

1988's Hawks is a poignant black comedy that will make you laugh one minute and cry the next. It is never sappy but still gets it's point across: live like you were dying. In this film, that's exactly what is happening to two men who decide not to be patient with their cancer; they escape the hospital and take off for what may be their last great adventure. Timothy Dalton, Anthony Edwards and Janet McTeer are superb in their roles. Wonderfully written by Roy Clarke from an idea of Barry Gibb and David English, it is a gem of a film that is unforgettable and will touch your heart.

The original film was rated R for nudity and language. I've edited this version and removed the nudity (shown at an Amsterdam brothel, which was not essential to the film), but the language remains.

SO LOVE THIS movie!!!! It is a big fave of my Tim movies and he was fantastic in this!!!! Comedy really agrees with him and it is a shame he hasn't dome more!!!!
