i've been trying to do the first version for a long time now. how long do i need to stay in the position with my forehead touching the ground before disengaging the floor? tqs

Several weeks at least, if you're not familiar with another way of entering the elbow stand. The arms shall be strong enough to go smoothly from bearing 80-90% of the bodyweight up to 100. Before the liftoffs, feel the weight and the work in the arms. The lifts can be slow, controlled. The first ones can just take the forehead onto the thumbs, then hair onto thumbs, then maybe an inch up. If shaky, stay ½-1 ft from a wall.
Coordinating feet-neck angle-lift makes it easier.
