I had to do a lyric search. I thought I was hearing "Then Jack Frost throws a tantrum." It's "Jack Frost froze a teardrop!" LOL! I love this song.

A real classic indeed. I also hear the original by Burt Bacharach, this one has female singers. There's a trumpet part--and I'll wager a bet it was Herb---the playing has his hallmarks, and Burt and Herb always were close friends! Heck--I just realized I can play the trumpet parts on this song right now--even as a beginner as I am---Herb plays ONE note! This is clever and very cute! Heck I think he even plays his horn open--no valve buttone pressed! YAY I can play a Herb song! LOL! Great tune!

Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66's version is my fave!
Too bad I can't find it up on YouTube...:(

I remember the first time I heard this song. It was way back in 1974, and our 2nd Grade teacher played it during our Classroom Christmas party and I have loved it ever since!

It's actually pretty old. It's a catchy little tune written by Burt Bacharach.
