SuperCollider + Arduino, and misc stuff. The Rumentarium setup is operated through a MIDI controller. Audio is purely acoustic (here SC is just a rt scheduler) and lo-fi (taken from camera).

  • very cool. Is the cymbal on the right supposed to have a uneven rhythm or is either SC or the motor device causing a lag? Its not a criticism, i am just curious.

  • Thanks. Well, you know this is "accidental instrument theory", so, of course, there are a bunch of electromechanical constraints. SuperCollider+Arduino: no lag at all. After: motors need time to move at regime and when you stop it they keep on spinning (if there's not enough friction to stop tehm immediately)
