    i would use less complicated footwork, myself, seems to be your trademark :)

    can you not force the opponent's sword into that position with a short edge wind through his sword when you try to go for the lower opening on the outside of his arm, but against his sword? do you need to allow him to take the initiative out of the bind? surely that's not what you want...
