Learn how to properly assemble SnapStone porcelain tiles.

In a typical SnapStone porcelain tile installation, you will be installing over an existing subfloor. There are a couple different ways you can put the tiles together. You can put them together manually by aligning the tiles and pulling them together. Most installations, you will want to use a mallet. The tile disassembles as easily as it assembles. Keep on tile flat while pulling the other up and away.

The tiles are non-directional, so you do not have to have them facing a certain direction for installation.

Install tile toward a corner to avoid trying to installing a tile between two that are already installed. This will not work. Make sure your tiles are perfectly aligned before moving to the next tile.

  • What about cutting? are they hard to cut?

  • @6ft3soldier Here are two additional videos about cutting the SnapStone tile: youtube. com/watch?v=29ShMBfPhVw&feature=relmfu & youtube. com/watch?NR=1&v=GhIEwJXmHCo (please remove the spaces from the URLs). Keep in mind that where you have cuts you will not need the snap configuration on the side of the cut as it will go along a side of the floor.

  • I was dreading overhauling my two bathrooms until I ran across these types of tiles at the hardware store. I didn't want to get involved with mixing and working with cement / grout stuff. I'm preparing the floor now and will install the them in a few days. Hope they look good!
