@stueystu1 Look it up Monica beat Hingis easily, think it was 1 and 2 or something similar. Monica was/is a better player and record proves it.

Hingis always a sour loser. When she beat Monica, Monica always kissed her on the cheeks at the net. When Monica beat her, she never offered the same back.

I hate Martina hingis. I always loved it, when Serena or Venus destroyed her.

In my last post I meant "tanking matches" not "tanking matching".

Class is not learned, you either have it or not, and Hingis never showed an ounce of it in any of her matches or off the court. From her tanking matching and pouting to her homphobic comments about Mauresmo to her cocaine use, she was not a nice person or a good ambassador for the sport.
Seles was always as classy as she could be, and I miss her. If that crazy guy had not have stabbed her, she would have been perhaps one of the top 3 greatest of all time (with Chris, Martina and Steffi).

Let's get real here. Hingis was NEVER the crowd favorite, esp when she was at her best. But when she came back, guess what ppl loved her. Don't deny it. Even haters know this....

People salivating over Hingis?? Yeah, probably the peadophiles!
The 2 BIG Strengths Hingis had was her ability to hit the ball very early and great accuracy. That served her well when she came on the scene at the RIGHT time when Seles/Graf/Capriati/Sanchez etc were aging/making comebacks & Wiliams/Henin/Russians still yet to 'Blossom'.
When the others started to hit the ball 'early' as well & beat her at her own game, she was finished!

How was it plain when she used pure tactic to win instead of power? It was marvelous and people salivated over Hingis' slickness when she made her comeback. People missed that brand of tennis.

I actually liked Hingis more when she came back after a break. I usually take the veteran's side anyway, but in her case I really got to like her more as she aged and got more humble. Always respected her talent, not always her attitude.
