Hot damn that looks fun!

one of my wife's elastic pony tail holders keeps the loading lever in check on mine, does it make my revolver less lethal because i use such a sissy thing as a pony tail holder?,gee,i feel so girlified and everything, lol

@CycleSeth Your right. I filed the radius where the tab and stem meet to a square and the loading lever stays put. If it is hard to pull down just slide a knife blade between the the lever and the barrel and the tab will release.

I dont normally comment on these vids, but i have a Walker. The loading lever is not a problem at all. Just file the little "nub" part on the tab on the barrel side that holds the lever up just a tad. It holds strong. No more problem. Look it up on google and something will pop up and lead you to a gun forum somewhere. Thats where i heard about doing it. Works great, and easy fix.

excellent

Faster shooting and a small strap to keep the loading levers up would make it better :P
Seriously, good video tho! I'll be getting a 1860 Army next week.

jesus, what the hell is he shooting, the Liberty Bell??

Need to be faster. Thats ' What I think of that".
To fix the loading lever problem...simply adapt the Dragoon loading lever and dovetail it to your Walker barrel...minor gunsmithing skills needed. BTW, why does everyone use fake black powder...try 50 grains of fffg black powder-- a deeper, louder boom and many times the smoke!!

There are several fixes for the loading lever, the easiest is to just remove it before firing.
I'm using Goex FFFg in the video. I also make my own BP. There are several legitimate reasons for using subs however. A lot of folks cannot buy BP due to zoning restrictions etc. I use Pyrodex in my shotguns 'cause I get it after deer season when Walmart puts it on clearance. $10.00/pound

That stinks...I thought BP could be buy/sell in all 50. The lever problem was so annoying, I sold mine and went to a 3rd Dragoon-- it was much the same, and held 50-55 gr. charges, and lever never came loose on firing-- only drawback is Dragoon is harder to load as everything is more compact-- tolerances aren't loose like with W.R. Have fun 4 me...I miss my perc. rev. especially the LeMat.

It can, but storage regulations for retailers is so strict many won't even mess with selling it anymore. You can order direct from clearing houses such as PowderInc.. Some cities will not allow retailers to sell BP.
