    He said this technique is to move qi but no where in this excerpt did he say that this is to improve your health. Perhaps he said it elsewhere.

  • Translation (part 1)

    bend at wrist and push palms out hard, but not too hard

    keep fingers straight and pull back the finger tips towards your shoulders

    separate the fingers

    hands sloped downwards to navel height so that the feeling of qi is stronger

    pull up and relax the shoulders and repeat. You will feel qi go out between the fingers when you relax the shoulders.

    With practice you will also feel qi go up your fingers and up your arms when you pull up the shoulders
