A short reflection video for World AIDS Day. From 1987 on, my life was changed by the face of HIV/AIDS, by little Renee and her fight to survive brain cancer only to be struck down by AIDS through a blood transfusion. This memory was my first encounter with HIV and everything that goes with it (family dealing with loss, discrimination and ignorance from a small rural community, etc.). Renee's memory is the fire that lit my passion for HIV/AIDS volunteer work. One of the many ways I remember Renee is through an annual video that includes the most updated statistics from W.H.O. (World Health Organization) on HIV.

lol do you have comprehension problems? first of all that's only one part of Africa ( a very small portion), second they said it can cause "the next HIV" (in other words a new virus like HIV), it never said it this behavior actually started the epidemic. And finally they eat monkey brains in China, South America and Southeast Asia so before you trash a whole continent improve your comprehension skills and learn to read. Nice try retard but your attempt to try and back up ur theory failed

Scientists in Cameroon have warned that eating monkeys and apes could cause the next HIV. 80% of meat eaten in Cameroon is bushmeat including gorilla and chimp.
google it. it's fact

Lmao whoaa who told you africans ate monkeys? that is the dumbest and most retarded thing i have ever heard. stop making things up just so you can back up your theory. I think you watch too much cartoons kid, this definitely made me laugh. I can't believe that you really believe africans ate monkeys hahaha. The craziest thing is that you say africa as if it is one big country when it is actually a continent so not only are you retarded, ignorant and crazy but you are also uneducated and stupid

Your message is wonderful. I love this video! We all have to stand up against stigma and discrimination. Fight fear, ignorance, and injustice regarding HIV/AIDS.
