We take a look at two blondes from Belgium - well, both claim to be blondes, but both are actually a little something different. The first, the interestingly named 'T Gaverhopke from the Flanders region of Belgium and is actually an Abbey Tripple, and underwhelms us. The second, from the Browerij Duvel Moortgat, however, (a Belgian Pale Ale disguising itself as a blonde) turns out to be something really nice.

  • Hi I'm from Belgium and if you want to drink a very interesting beer it's called "Abbey of the Rocs "brown

  • Good review guys. Great info on the brewerys and beers!

  • I really don't know why people feel the need to differenciate between Belgium Pale Ales and Belgium Golden Ales... Its the same bloody thing!

Not a jab at you guys though, i know you're following the BJCP guidelines.

Great reviews, always a supporter, great choice of beer.

I'd love to see some traditional English Pale Ales and Mild Ales reviewed next.

  • great review guys......
