This video shows the micro-mechanical cleavage technique for obtaining graphene. Besides, it gives a flavor on how the characterisation of graphene multi-layers through Raman spectroscopy works.

"Graphene: Faraway, so close!" was filmed entirely at the National University of Córdoba, Córdoba, Argentina. Other clips highlighting some of our graphene experiments will be posted soon.

  • Very well done video.

The Piazzola music give a very good and intriguing beat to the video.

  • The original idea was first made from zits and scotch tape. The inventor's idea was stolen and the company Biolage was formed. Now, thanks to those in industrial espionage, no one knows the amazing properties of recycled zits! TRUE STORY!

  • Eureka!
