i love 2006 version, there he's a flirt like in the book.

I don't like this version at all. There is none of the passion and eroticism of the book. The BBC series of 2006 is so much better.

I saw this movie before I watched the 2006 BBC's adaptation a few years ago, and I hated it. The acting is terrible. I'm not saying that the actors are bad, but perhaps they are not fit for the roles. I had given up hope on seeing an adaptation of Jane Eyre that was good enough, until 2006. I fell in love completely with the series and even bought it when the DVD came out. Now 2011 another Jane Eyre movie came out and is just as terrible as the 1996 one, don't waste your time watching it

So much for Jane not being "an automaton", for Jane having "as much heart and soul", shes like a robot, and Rochester is just completely wrong, physically (I get that everyones imagination is different so on this point I dont really mind but hey) and personality wise, he has absolutly no life and the two of them clearly have no passion for each other whatsoever, bollocks to this im going back to 2006

I expected more from this film. There is no chemistry between the main characters. Still the rest of the cast is just perfect - I love Adele and miss Fairfax.
