One of my very favourite TV quotes of all time ! It is full of dynamism and a gritty desire to get the bad guys ! Great stuff !
-
@sunnymornin one of my "m8s"............... you sure it wasn't a nova with quattro painted on it?
-
@joh2 you notice that the side bit is a bit diffrent to the 1981 version
-
if a got i right, so you mean that quattro one was bulid 1981-1982? if so, your wrong. Quattro was made from 1980 to 1990 or 1991
-
how random is this??
I don't think the little details matter really - it's a great car and the vast majority of people are not bothered by whether it has decals on the back or not! Christ I wasn't even born!
-
Sorry correction: Its 4WD.

In the series the quatrro has a private reg plate. They were only available in Europe in 1981-1982 so the producers said that Gene Hunt imported it from Europe!
2,144cc, 200BHP, Rear wheel drive, elctric windows etc. Brilliant Car.

Otherwise Ok?
-
That looks like the inside of the VW National Learning Centre an Milton Keynes!?

I noted 9 errors with the car (apart from its age, chassis number etc) wrong headlights, body stripes missing, poor aftermarket door rings, rusty front n/s wiper arm, single exhaust pipe instead of twin, front skirt missing black vent paint, rear quattro decals missing on the bootlid, wrong reg plate, car should be lhd. shame really with all of our licence fee money they have at their disposal...
one of my m8s used to have a quattro. he let me have it for a whole week once!!!

I hope you gave it the Gene Hunt treatment.

there is only 1 slight continuity error in ashes to ashes....that is the original Ur Quattro,s were not in the UK till 81 which would make them W reg not V reg as in the tv series...

Ah, that particular 1984 quattro coupe in the photo was the last one ever to be built in RHD form - Owned by Audi themselves, it has covered ZERO miles and is stored in a dehumidified environment... - of course it's worth plenty...
