An edited-down version of a sales video made in 1990 by a Helena, Montana, real estate agency to promote the sale of Frontier Town, an extraordinary Old West themed tourist attraction, and masterpiece of American Folk Art.

Although the narrator sounds robotic, and the background music is often oddly inappropriate, this video gives us a glimpse of John Quigley's Frontier Town.

NOTE: Frontier Town is now a private residence, and is closed to the public.

  • It's sad that it's no longer open. I loved visiting Frontier Town. The restaurant was always an awesome place to go for special occassions.

  • Well it was a business. Some rich "a hole" had to buy it. Why didnt you buy it.

  • I was born in Helena and although I left at 10, I always come home to see the folks. Frontier Town was and is my memory of what home is all about. Whoever owns it should open it to the public because its more than just a piece of scenic property, it is Montana's cultural relic and it should be cherished by anyone who wants to visit it.

  • Its your story....tell it however you want.

  • Good people, not "some rich A-hole" bought Frontier Town. It's days as a tourist attraction were over, and it is being put to good use and cared for.

  • so sad that some rich A-hole had to buy this and close it to the public.

The last time I visited this place I was too young to remember it now.

  • WOW!! This is soooo cool!. My mom and I used to work at Frontier Town for Sue Quigley. My mom and I worked in the gift shop and I was responsible for cleaning John & Sue's personal home (not shown in this video) I also worked in the resteraunt and led guided tours down "main street". My husband went there as a child as well and remembers eating the Easter Sunday Brunch. Our son has never seen it since it closed before he was born....so this was fun to show him
