100% Gold Star Expert Solo Vocals performance on Plush by Stone Temple Pilots, as it appears in Rock Band 3 for PlayStation 3.

This song is on the disc in all versions of Rock Band 3.

As is typical for my videos, the original vocals by Scott Weiland are minimized so you can hear what I'm singing.

---

Plush is a mostly straight forward song with some very low notes that may be troublesome for some singers. For myself, as a natural bass range singer, I have a lot more problems with the high notes than the low ones, but your mileage may vary.

There's a few odd melodies in the verses where the lines just sort warble onto some very unintuitive notes if you're not very familiar with the song, so watch out for the end of some of the phrases where the line wanders a bit.

Other than that, this is probably somewhere in the middle of the pack in terms of solo vocal difficulty amongst all of the Rock Band 3 on-disc songs.

Aside: I'm a little annoyed with the microphone sensitivity (or lack thereof) in RB3. The arrow flickers like mad sometimes, and I ended up having to re-record the captured video feed because the original run I recorded the external audio on just had the arrow jumping every which way, despite being properly scored.

  • how do you only hear your voice and not scott weilands voice? i think is what mad is trying to say, i would also like to know this.

  • @rockband3singer When I record videos I sing into two microphones with the original vocal track minimized in the game settings. One microphone for the game (which is what produces the scoring arrow) and another one connected to my laptop. I take both tracks and sync them up in my editing software and balance the audio, which is why you can hear me clearly without Scott Weiland's voice.

  • I wonder how easy or hard it will be to get the white-haired character back which you had in RB2? I'm sure mine will be impossible.

  • @mechamind90 I've got most of the pieces to my old RB1/RB2 character collected. I just forgot to select a character here. Not too many worries here, though there ARE a lot of pieces that are just gone.

  • @ankleshoe2008 i agree its pretty easy...i have a low voice so i can sing songs like this

  • how can you sing on rock band instead of hearing the track voice? i dont know if you understand what im saying?

  • I have 100% this once and watching this makes me want to play Rock Band 3!

  • It's a pretty easy song to sing. I have sang this song on expert vocals 100% also. It's an awesome song.

  • not bad...ive sang this a couple of times...the only part i have is in the ending

  • @TidusOfSH don't bring up technical singing terms then, confuses real musicians into thinking you know what you're talking about (btw naturally being a baratone doesnt mean you'll automatically be able to sing songs other baratones can.) geoff tate is a baratone

  • @JakeTF2 I'm totally sure I can sing this song full voice with little effort. But you speak of Jaime Vendera, basses who can shatter glasses, etc., but I never aspired, and never will aspire to be a singer, and I'm sure Icemage doesn't too. Why should I spend years of training until I get like 4 octaves of chest voice range...just to play a measly game?
