Brand new to the Baxter and the KKNK in April is AFRIKAAPS, a cutting edge hiphopera combining poetry, dance, storytelling, video and song in a story that uncovers the real beginnings of Afrikaans - a (creole) language of unification - which many don't know.

Featuring an all-star Cape Town cast, Die Argitekbekke include: hip hop poet and performer Jitsvinger, jazz piano prodigy Kyle Shepherd, vocalist and poet Blaq Pearl, hip hop activist and mc Emile YX Jansen, rapper and b-boy Bliksemstraal, ghoema captain Moenier Adams and beatmaker bassist, Shane Cooper.
