  • @JimBronson6 Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark both outshined Cilla in the US.

  • Thank God for the Dave Clark Five. They were front and center of the British Invasion of America in 1963-64 I don't think rock and roll would have survived the sixties w/o this high energy sound from over the pond.I distinctly remember hearing them before the Beatles or Rolling Stones.

  • These guys were really good. I also like some of their later material, like Come Home.

  • Top 10 British Invasion singers: 1) John Lennon, Beatles 2) Paul Mccartney, Beatles 3) Mike Smith - DC5 4) Paul Jones, Manfred Mann 5) Cilla Black, solo 6) Colin Blunstone, Zombies 7) Mick Jagger, Rolling Stones 8) George Harrison, Beatles 9) Sandie Shaw, solo 10) Eric Burden

    Comments from blokes or birds?

  • Because Dave Clark retains the publishing rights and doesn't release old albums of The DC5, many forgot just how big they were. Between 1964-1966 they were The Beatles biggest competators for popularity. I think there music of this time was just uplifting fun music that got you going. If you don't get a charge out of a song like "Anyway you want it" somethings wrong with you. Yes the Beatles evolved past them, but when they were good they were great!

  • Now why do they not make music like this any more? Children today wouldn't know good rock n roll if it bit them on the nose.

  • @socrates1818 Dave Clark wrote this scorcher.

  • such memories. they were my fav band at the time. beatles were my sisiters

  • This is rock and roll the way it was meant to be.

  • perfect record!!!!
