A response to You Tube user Menoftheinfinite and his recent video "Anarchism."

Essentially his critique is that the "enemy of Anarchists" the "state" is ill-defined. In fact, it is purposely ill-defined and ambiguous just as Christians leave their concept of god rather murky.

Secondly he remarks on anarchist opposition to centralization. The remaining criticisms seem to stem from what he perceives as our anti-centralization stance.

He also makes the rather odd statement that anarchists oppose democracy. Anybody who subscribes to this channel is probably aware of the series of videos I've done on democracy. But I tackle that as well here.

I attempt to shed some light on these misconceptions and will be following this up with some more videos on Anarchism.

  • Im not an online know-it-all, dont want a YT channel, just an Anarchist to answer my ???s. Instead you said al Qaida was a 'successful' de-centralized org & couldn't answer why Humanity hasn't reverted to Anarchy in 8 000 since the Neolithic if it was suited to us. Your biggest mistake? Not knowing I'm an ex-Anarchist (15 years) & that I've read Bak & Krop (in rus), EG & Godwin. They couldn't answer my questions. Why? B.c Anarchism is based on wishfull thinking & image, just like Anarchists are.

  • Do you realize how stupid your comment is? You've basically pretended like you've read all anarchist literature and none of it answers your question and yet you'd still like an anarchist to answer your question? Well, maybe you should just go get fucked for being so stupid? Maybe there isn't an answer? Or quite possibly you're full of it and would like to be spoon fed? Either way you're a waste of time.

  • Oh and in the words of Minor Threat, "What the Fuck have you done?"

  • Stop projecting your failures onto me: you claiming al Qaida is a successful decentralized org is laughable, so is not understanding that The People show repeatedly that Human nature makes Anarchy dangerous. Anarchist lit doesn't address that, so dont tell me to read it, it's a closed circuit. Figure out if you want real solutions or if you're just a hipster who choses ideology that's 'cool' & 'hip' b.c you wanna be a 'rebel' & its your personality's corporeal extension Don't be banal.

  • I'm sorry you wish to continue in ignorance. It's up to you to want to educate yourself. I can't do it for you, but getting a basic understanding of the terms you've tried using shouldn't be that difficult. You have the internet and I'm sure you could find some decent articles on the topics rather quickly. As I've said, I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction. My series on Democracy would probably be a great start since you don't seem to understand the concept very well peace

  • I should also point out you fit the typical mode of someone who pretends to know things here on You Tube. It always makes me laugh to see someone such as yourself, completely ignorant of the topics at hand and yet full of opinions, who doesn't have the courage to actually make videos here telling us all what you think; it's much easier to remain an anonymous troll and pretend you actually know what you're talking about. Why are you such a coward? Or is a $5 webcam too large a purchase for you?

  • Can't speak for buddhagem. For me it's exactly because I can't be sure, so it's a lack of conviction that's consistent with a skeptical outlook. I consider anarchism essentially a form of political skepticism; the anarchist questions authority, questions hierarchy, asks for justification for authoritarian institutions. In effect, the anarchist doesn't say "I'm right, believe in what I say" but rather "Are you sure you're right? question what you believe". But who knows, maybe I'm wrong.

  • the problem is...

there are people around that call themselves anarchists, and that see the state as the root of all evil and want to abolish it and want completely free markets. anarcho capitalists, free market anarchists. many just call themselves anarchists. and they are loud.

for quote a long time, i didnt notice that there are anarchists out there that make more sense, but i already agreed with much of what chomsky said without knowing what chomsky said specifically about anarchism.

  • The Kubbutz is actually more of a National-Anarchist concept rather than an anarchist concept. National-Anarchism is basically an anti-authoritarian concept based on communitarianism, ethnic similarity and traditional values and is different from traditional Anarchism in the sense that traditional anarchism rejects traditional values and the importance of ethnic similarity as being bourgeois or arristocratic of origin.

  • This is a very good critique. He seems to not understand the difference between Anarchism and anarcho-capitalism

  • @ avidolocan re: weininger -- I didnt say these guys weren't narcissists or that they are perfect but they ARE modern sages for reviving Weininger's ideas on blacks, jews, women & ubermensch spirituality and even though they dont live up to the ideals & wont see their errors at times, it is hard for Modern people living in Modernity to do this, their services & FAUSTIAN endeavors still do redeem their failures.

  • You think that's bad? I worked with the narrator of menoftheinfinite on translating a work by Otto Weininger into English from German. The narrator frequently told me he knew the meaning of a lot of things that were written by Weininger. Only problem is, he didn't know German at all, and I did. If that isn't being a know-all, what is? Sometimes it took a few hours to convince him that without support from dictionaries or literature, how can he make the claims of knowing a foreign language?

  • I did it to demonstrate that Anarchism is based on concepts not thought out to their conclusion, much like monotheism & to dissuade its true believers to something that's less of a religion, more of a solution & not an image. I wasted so much time on it b.c I lacked the courage to confront Anarchism's gaps that I pointed out below, accepting skewed thinking as logic & dulling my ability to think critically, yet knowing I had greater potential. Do you? Or is this it?
