Wolf Blitzer mediates a heated debate between Georgia Rep. David Scott and Brian Hill, the doctor he screamed at during a town hall meeting for asking about health care reform, being accused of "hijacking" his event.

Scott tries to get words in edgewise, but Hill keeps telling him that he doesn't want to hear "talking points".

  • Well for one, you are making blanket statements about all doctors, which I find repulsive. The other point you fail to acknowledge is how hard doctors work, and how much is riding on their work. They are well compensated for extremely difficult work that deals with life and death for people they barely know. They spend enormous amounts of money to go to medical school, and when they get out they work long hours and are vilified by the ignorant with a sense of entitlement like yourself.

  • It is obvious the doctor did not want any real answers to his questions about health but to get his face on the news so he can get some more publicity. It's an old trick to go to a meeting like that and then shout out questions that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. And you can bet your last dollar that the TV news crew will cover the confrontation instead of the original topic. Why? Because it makes good TV. For the most part TV news suck and Rep. Scott did not have a meltdown.

  • @samnews76 - Hey dude, the doctor's face was never ON the TV - reality check. And you should view the total youtube clip where Rep. Scott DID meltdown. Perhaps you should research your ever-so-enlightening comments before you make them.

  • I am a voter in the 13th district. David Scott will be gone this Nov. He needs to start packing his bags now and get ready to head back to Smyrna.

  • I think Mr./Congressman Scott needs to be voted out. It was pretty apparent that he isn't really listening to the people in his district. Or, if he is he is only listening to the ones that he agrees with.

  • join him for a beer? why does that sound familiar

  • Executives don't work hard?? Who's responsible for keeping their companies in the black? Whose neck is on the line if they don't perform to expectations?

  • Like Camus said: "It is not so much having had power, but having used it to advance a society void of any real nobility."

  • I do agree that if you work hard, you should reap the benefits of your labor. However, unlike athletes and actors, executives DONT work hard; trust me, I was in the industry for awhile, and they put all their work onto their subjects. The hardest working people, per capita, are riding the poverty line. The rich get their jobs through nepotism, and advance by way of politics...that simple.

  • Agree, however, the annual mean of dr salaries is now around $375,000, and if we go universal, which we will when Americans stop making decisions based on hatred, it will drop to about $ 210,000. You would think that this amount would seem fair, but Dr.s, today, feel that they are better than everyone else, and that they deserve a life of luxury while their patients live in poverty from medical debt.
