I've been getting a bunch of folks asking me. "How do I downgrade my Windows Vista to Windows XP". Well this is how to do it in a nutshell.

whats the chipset driver used for? i dont have it installed on my downgraded xp system... and it works fine without it....

@tombafan Those are drivers for built in features of your motherboard, drive controllers, memory controllers, etc. While often a system will work fine without them, you can have a performance hit, or not have some features because it's not installed.

cant you just download licences from the net i have about 10 licences,its illigal!,so what,who cares ? nobody, its not like they are going from door to door cheking that u have a geniune copy,and for the update problem it has a solution too,i dont know why ppl are make¡ing suck a big fuss about it?

@younes727 A couple things with that, 1. getting the software online like that, can contain who knows what kinda viruses 2. If it's just the key you are using, and you have the full version of Vista and are down grading I can understand, but the product key can easily invalidate and then you don't get windows updates anymore.

@younes727 i'm with you man ! fuck whats legal and whats not, if that's what takes you to get what you want, what you're used to use or think it's best for you then why the fuck not ? it ain't your fault that some company decided to make an update which pretty much forces you to use it, so if downloading is the only one way you can get it all done then use the opportunity. and downloading is safe aslong as you know where you downloading from and read the comments/feedback about the file
