Kobe and Pierce have some of the best footwork in the league, that's why they'll still be good in a few years when their athleticism is mostly gone. (I think if Pierce lost 15 lbs or so it would benefit him)

To me paul pierce isn't all that compared to melo, kobe, or lebron who are the top players in the league (hell the world). Pierce has a slow first step and mostly relies on getting fouled to score his points. He's not a great leaper. When is the last time he dunked? (I saw one dunk from him this entire mix and he's 6ft. and 7in. tall.) I don't know how the hell he gets to the rim with his slow drive and first step, because he's not really explosive. His jumpshot is the plust to his game.
