Mario actually did run with Penske, he ran 5 race in 1979 and 1980 winning once and scoring 2 Poles

Its because he wined too much. Roger Penske HATED the Andretti family. It should be said, Mario, he was never the most popular person with the people of Indianapolis.

Ironic that Andretti is probably the biggest name among IndyCar pilots, and Team Penske is the biggest race team in IndyCar history, yet an Andretti has never raced for Penske.
