American Family Insurance sales manager Julie Hickman and agent Derek Holmes were both victims of the May 2011 tornado in Joplin. Julie feared she lost her daughter, who was eventually found safe, and Derek's American Family office was leveled. Amidst the rubble and loss of life, the two American Family representatives share their raw emotions and determination to help the Joplin community rebuild and recover from this historic tragedy.

I work at the Home Depot in Salem Ohio, I remember when this happend we donated everything we could from the "Homer fund" for a disaster such as this. We donated money to the victums that died in the Home Depot store down there.

Sad, I went and volenteered to help out, and it was insane the kinda reckage that was all of the place, cars were smashed and looked like they were just crushed like a toy or something...
